Putin Fears Neither Nazis Nor NATO But Eurasia’s Demographics and China’s New Silk Road

Putin is using anti-NATO, anti-Nazi rhetoric to conceal the real threats he faces to a new Russian empire. This is propaganda he promotes because it encourages a narrative which the West and its own dissidents have already bought into.  Above all, it diverts attention away from two very real concerns and what appears to be the call of destiny, all three of which Putin downplays:

Eurasia’s demographic challenge to a Slavic Russian Christian state, the call of a Mother Russia destined to restore an ancient order dating back to the Atlanteans, and the expanding power and influence of China into Eurasia, prize of the coming century, and site of a new world order centered in a Greater Eurasia from which the West would be all but excluded.
